White Sox, Chicago Cubs ball parks to host Vote By Mail Drop Boxes on Nov. 3 for Chicago Voters

On November 3, 2020, the Chicago Board of Elections will have drop boxes for Chicago voters to submit their Vote By Mail Ballot Return Envelopes at Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs, and Guaranteed Rate Field, home of the Chicago White Sox. Both drop boxes will be open only from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day and only for use by Vote By Mail Voters

United Center will be Election Day Polling Place / Vote By Mail Drop Box site on Nov. 3 for Chicago Voters

On November 3, 2020, the Chicago Board of Elections will utilize the United Center, home of the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks, as an Election Day Voting Super Site for the first time in the arena’s history. In partnership with the United Center, the Chicago Board of Elections is expanding safe and accessible voting options and designating the United Center as an additional option for Chicago voters. The site will be open for in-person voting and use of a Vote By Mail ballot drop box only from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3.

Chicago Board of Elections Reminds Voters to Return Their Vote By Mail Ballot As Soon As They Can

The Chicago Board of Election Commissioners reminded Chicagoans of their options to vote for the June 28th Primary Election, including a request for Vote By Mail voters to return their ballots as soon as they can to be counted in a timely manner. Vote By Mail applications close at 5:00pm today on June 23rd.

Early Voting For November 8th General Election is Now Open in All of Chicago's 50 Wards

Early Voting in all of Chicago’s 50 Wards started today, Monday, October 24, and will be open through Monday, November 7. These sites are open Weekdays from 9:00am to 6pm; Saturdays from 9:00am to 5:00pm; and Sundays from 10:00am to 4:00pm. All Early Voting locations will also be open as Vote Centers on Election Day, Tuesday, November 8, from 6:00am to 7:00pm. Any voter living in Chicago can vote at any of these sites, no matter where they live in the city.

Statement from the Chicago Board of Elections on 5th Ward Vote By Mail Ballots

The Chicago Board of Elections recently learned that incorrect Vote By Mail ballots were mailed to 5th Ward voters that list Adrienne Irmer as a candidate for Alderperson. Ms. Irmer was removed from the ballot on January 20, 2023 and is not qualified to have her name printed upon the ballot. We sincerely regret this error and apologize for this inconvenience to voters.

Early Voting and New Vote By Mail Ballots Halted for 28th Ward Voters

The Illinois Appellate Court just entered an order requiring the Chicago Board of Election Commissioners to immediately restore the name of 28th Ward Candidate for Alderperson Shawn A. Walker to the ballot. Please see attached court order. All voting in the 28th Ward is suspended until further notice.
